What qualifications are needed to use the T-JTA?
A degree from an accredited college or seminary with course work in a counseling-related field is generally required. Students who are enrolled in a professional degree program at an accredited college or seminary may be granted “provisional approval”. We are aware that educational requirements vary around the world, and we take this into consideration during the evaluation of an application.
How do I qualify and is there a cost to apply?
Simply register for an account. During account registration, you will be asked to enter your educational background and training experience to determine your qualification level. There is no fee to register.
How long will it take for my application to be reviewed?
Applications that meet the above qualification requirements are instantly approved. If an application requires special review, a decision is typically rendered within one business day.
Will I become a T-JTA Authorized Practitioner after my application is approved?
Once your application is approved, you are cleared to purchase a T-JTA Training Kit. Upon purchase of your kit, you are instantly recognized as a T-JTA Authorized Practitioner.
Are there any recurring fees to remain an Authorized Practitioner?
No. Your authorization is valid for life, with no annual or renewal fees. Authorization is separate from
T-JTA Certification, an optional credential explained in our
FAQ.
When can I begin testing my clients using the online scoring service?
Immediately. Once you purchase a T-JTA Starter Kit, you can setup your clients for testing.
Is T-JTA training required prior to using the T-JTA?
